How women pairs often have similar style

Attending fashion week is twice the fun when you are there with a friend.

Here are a number of couples consisting of girlfriends and mothers and daughters to inspire us. It’s often interesting to see a similar style between the 2 women that are together. I did not select these images for ‘alikeness’ but there is usually a common theme.

1. Blues

2. Black and Gray

3. Embracing colors and prints

4. Embracing the mini

5. It’s all about the shoes!

6. Black and white

7. Sportly luxe

8. The statement bag

9. High heels

10. Graphical colors

11. Prints

I have more images of couples for you next week!

Which couple is your favorite?

Definitely B&W, Sporty Luxe and High Heels 🙂 in fact, when my 16 year old and I go out, I’m often the one with the blazer, leather and heels, whilst she’s in flirty skirts and kicks 🙂

Interesting! My sisters and I often dress similarly when we go out to lunch. xox

I love these posts!! It’s like people watching from my computer! jodie

Many people are not aware how many small and multi-generational businesses there are in fashion, especially in NYC. As the father to a daughter, I love taking mother-daughter photos.

The T-shirt in #2 is hysterical if you get the reference to ‘Baby Got Back’.

“Oh, my, God. Becky, look at her butt / It is so big, she looks like / One of those rap guys’ girlfriends. / But, ya know, who understands those rap guys?”

Very funny! I just mentioned this to my husband yesterday when we were cycling and came across 2 pairs of girlfriends looking very similar!

I like pair #4 rockin’ the mini skirts in middle age!

10 is my fabourite as I love colour. I also tend to mirror dress. I suppose it is a form of wanting to bond.

I like the minis even though I don’t have good legs and don’t wear dresses to often.
