If I’m buying a dress I look for sleeves first. I have several sleeveless summer dresses and like some of the other commenters I prefer to make my own sleeves by wearing a jacket or sweater on top. My favorites are #4 and #10 although #2 is a look I would gladly wear.
I like the #2 print dress since it really makes a statement. I’m so tired of designers not giving us sleeves stating that it’s more youthful (from an article in the WSJ.) Oh please our flabby arms hanging out is not youthful. Please give me a sleeve!
I like the last one.
I wouldn’t buy any of them. The pink one (number 6) is nice but would have to be longer. Just like the cute black and white one (number 3). Most of them have hints of sleeves rather than sleeves.
The pink one 3+4 as well. #9 is not my thing at all. But love wearing dresses, A-Lines are my fave right now. Sabina | Oceanblue Style
#2 dress was my favorite. Love it!
As one who always wears sleeves myself, I love seeing these. I would say my favorites are #2, love the print, #4-great take on a leather shift, and #9-this one is a dress I would love to own.
I have dress lust from looking at these images! Thanks, Sylvia for the inspiration. I’m writing this right now while wearing a dress I’ve been in all day during Office Tuesday (at home). I’m inspired to try to wear one very day for the rest of the week to imprint this option. I can sometimes forget to wear them when on a steady diet of in leggings and tunics, ankle pants and skinny jeans.
Love your blog!
My favourites are 1, 3, 4, 10. Love a dress with a sleeve, great for additional warmth without a jacket, great for work. The is not enough dresses around with sleeves. all these woman look great confident and stylish.
Definitely prefer sleeves, but would always wear some sort of cardigan anyway since I’m always cold. #10 is really the only one I like here. I don’t care for the short dresses…proportions seem off to me, and #8 is a bit too…um…drafty up top. Love #2 and #5 shoes!
Beautiful styles and women, Sylvia! I like the first pic, black dress on the right, the best. simple and so chic. xo
Grat dresses that fit well all the women. I like more the second one, with ethnic print: love the colors and the line, Rita

love the #2 print dress
I always like to cover my arms. I prefer a longer sleeve, three quarter length or at least to my elbow. That being said I would have to choose the second print dress look.
