Black is a timeless shade that will always be a fashion favorite. As you know I’m not a huge fan of all black outfits in winter (the streets are dark enough already) but adding texture or a colorful or bling detail help elevate the look.
Here are 10 fabulous all-black winter outfits we spotted on the streets of New York.
1. Chic cropped coat
The sheepskin on this jacket and fur detailing add texture to an all-black outfit.
2. Stylish layering
Black can be worn with other neutrals to stylish effect. Here a black faux fur coat is worn with dark gray. The necklace adds some subtle bling.
3. Classic gold buttoned coat
A timeless and elegant coat that can match any outfit! This look is finished with a pop of red lipstick and giant sunglasses.
4. Edgy textures
The use of layered textures in this outfit creates a bold look which is finished off with a navy blue hat.
5. Floral details
Wearing all black can sometimes create a harsh effect. But by adding texture you can soften the overall look. The floral details on this blazer add interest and make this outfit special.
6. Puffa jacket
A puffa jacket can be tricky to wear as, as well as warmth, it can add unwanted bulk. However, this puffa jacket has slim lines and also nips in slightly at the waist to create a more flattering effect.
7. Gold detailing
The positives of wearing black are that if you add another color to it, that can really stand out. Here, black is worn with gold detailing as well as a red handbag and matching lipstick.
8. A leather biker jacket and skirt
While a leather jacket is often worn casually with jeans, here the look is elevated through teaming it with a pencil skirt. The scarf, bag and pom-pom earrings are also kept to the same neutral palette.
9. Black with a beautiful brooch
If you have a beautiful piece of jewelry, wearing it against black can really make it pop. Here the oversized brooch adds style to this tailored black coat, which is worn over a brocade dress.
Which of these all-black outfits do you like best?
