Kermit the frog may have said that it’s not easy being green. But, wearing green is a whole different story if these fabulous looks are anything to go by!
This is one color that all of the designers seem to agree on for Fall 2018.The fashion shows from Milan, Paris, New York and London, showcased a plethora of green, sending models down the runways in everything from bright neon, to bright primary play-doh green through to the darker, mossy-type greens we are used to seeing for Fall.
So, you’re sure to start seeing much more green appearing on the high street when the Fall collections hit. Investing in green now means you’ll be bang on trend when Autumn arrives! Here’s how some fabulous ladies wore the color, in some of my favorite green looks shared through the #40plusstyle Instagram tag. Don’t forget to share your own!
Here the jewel tones of purple add extra glamor to a polka dot skirt which could either be styled formally or casually. The circular shapes in the statement necklace pick up the polka dot shapes in the skirt.
According to the old adage, blue and green should never be seen. But this look proves that rules are made to be broken. The greens of the skirt paired with blue, give this look the feeling of the ocean.
Green is the color of nature, so it goes without saying that it pairs beautifully with florals. This look features bold blooms in both the dress and duster coat in a look which could clash, but which works wonderfully together.
A shirt dress is a perennial style staple which will never be out of fashion. Here, interest is added with the use of a scarf as a belt, along with snakeskin-print accessories.
This look was for a day out at the races, but would be equally suitable for occasions such as a summer wedding. Keeping the shoes and handbag neutral lets the dress stand out as the star of the show.
A bold color combination which many would shy away from, green and pink can work well together. I’ve seen everyone from Vogue fashion guru Anna Dello Russo to Queen Elizabeth II embrace green and pink. It’s also a combo which fashion house Moschino frequently puts together.
Another chic polka dot look, this dress is worn casually with white sneakers and teamed with a brighter green bag. An easy-to-wear, stylish, everyday look!
Green paired with white can look incredibly classy, as shown in this look featuring green pants with a white shirt and coat. Sticking to a simple color palette gives this a very fresh, modern feel.
Proof that mixing patterns can work, this look combines print, stripes and polka dots. Keeping to a monochrome look underneath helps the coat to stand out, along with the statement necklace.
Chunky modern jewelry picks up the florals in the pretty pants in this casual daytime look.

A real hero piece, this olive green skirt is teamed with a white shirt and bang-on-trend white boots.
Another great look teaming pink pants with a green sweater, the scarf in this look pulls the two colors together for a very Euro chic style.
Using just one green accessory, this look uses the color with aplomb, teamed with cobalt blue and leopard print accessories.
Another look which shows how green can be incorporated into an outfit with great effect, the blue florals on this bag are picked up in the dress while the white sunglasses mirror the pale swirling patterns and the center of the blooms.
