Polka dots have been in style since the Fifties when polka dot outfits were a favorite of screen siren Marilyn Monroe.
While I wouldn’t call it a comeback, as they’ve never been out of fashion, polka dot outfits are definitely having a moment this summer.
Big or small, polka dots have featured on the spring/summer catwalks of the likes of Altuzarra, Michael Kors and Dries van Noten.
And, the trend has definitely made its way onto the high street. I’ve seen plenty of polka dots in stores for spring and summer.
Is bigger best when it comes to polka dot outfits?

Suddenly, polka dots feel very modern again. If you really want to be on-trend, then choose bigger dots.
When should I wear polka dots?
The great advantage to polka dots if you can literally wear them anywhere, from the most casual days to the swishest of occasions.
You could wear a polka dot tee with your jeans and sneakers, or a polka dot blouse with a pair of black pants for work, or a polka dot dress for a summer wedding. The options really are endless.

Simply add these 5 types of clothes and accessories (below) and you can create countless looks with your polka dots for spring and summer.
1.White tee
A white t-shirt will, of course, go with pretty much anything. Wear with a pair of polka dot pants or a polka dots skirt.
Trench coat
Just as polka dots are a timeless option, so too is a trench coat. So, it makes sense that they go beautifully together.

Polka dots are fun…and flattering! I enjoyed the selections presented here. I do have some polka dots but tend to stick to solid colors. You may just have changed my mind.
I love polk dots. I used have fabric polk dot tote bag from target. I wore tote bag out. I now have polk dot flower wrislet. I used have polk dot wedge heels but i wore that out to.. I have polk dot in my closet. I have a sleeveless polk dot dress i got from target years ago in 2015. I wore polk dress work church birthday party dinner. I wore by itself. I wore with black swater red satin shrug yellow shrug. I wore wothout belt with belt. I also have a long king sheer halter maxi polk dot dress i had in my closet for years. I have worn it. Iam going to wear it this summer. I am wear with my polka dot wrislet. I cant wait to wear ot. Aft ed r reading this article i can wear to pinic on date to summer concert.
