A student from my style course started a topic in the forum giving and asking recommendations for good jewelry stores for statement necklaces and I thought it would be great to share those here too. I would also love your recommendations for the best online jewelry stores.
As I have added quite a few neutrals to my wardrobe lately, I’m on the lookout for great colorful jewelry. I feel that a colored accessory can often lift an outfit. My jewelry of choice is often a contemporary necklace that is unique and well-designed.

I have worn 1928 JEWELRY since high school(ONLY jewelry I wearand has been consistently for several years now.
1928 Jewelry is ”antiquish” jewelry, It has a past, works in the present, knows its future & Beyond!
If you don’t find a piece for you from 1928 or their OTHER brands(2028, Tru, + a few more), then you never looked in the 1st place!
Also, they recently started(2017) a REWARDS program(my account had $20 worth when the program began, true to form, 1928Jewelry gave Me Arrears for My PAST Orders!)
I mean who(company) does that!?
Pretty obvious I’d AMBASSADOR for them any & every day of the week-

I have taken to making jewelry. It’s fun and I know I’m wearing something one of a kind. Some of these statement necklaces would be near impossible for an amateur like me to make, but some of them scream DIY!
What do you mean? You are on the lookout? You have closets filled with jewellery haha.
Just kidding. I am the last one who can say anything. I don’t even dare to look. Afraid I might get tempted.
haha, yet I never seem to find the piece I need…. I think I probably need to edit my jewelry more… Yes, be careful with the links. I just bought (a very affordable) necklace based on one of the recommendations!
I’m a new subscriber to your posts and am really enjoying them, Sylvia! Recently I came across the online shop of an architecture student who makes stylish and colorful wrapped thread necklaces that I think are quite eye-catching. Ordered one on the spot and love it! https://www.etsy.com/shop/Estdioshp
I also enjoy wearing/making paper necklaces and earrings because, like crochet thread, paper is such a surprising jewelry material.
Welcome Ann! I like it too. Just ordered one myself!
Oh how fun – I hope you’ll love it!
Since I am quite addicted to jewellery and always wear several pieces with my outfits, I really love your list, Sylvia and will now check out the ones I don’t know yet.
I am a fan of blogger Kat of http://www.withlovefromkat.com and she often wears gorgeous jewellery from http://www.julievos.com – unique pieces and there is always a selection on sale too!
Great tip Annette!
I’m a big fan of Andrea Wysocki’s jewelry. It’s subtle and sophisticated, smaller than some of the pieces you’ve shown, but it appeals to a broad range of ages. The pieces can be layered if you’re looking for a bigger impact, but the delicate necklaces let you layer a scarf, too. The earrings are lightweight and very comfortable; many of them have a lovely sense of movement that makes them fun to wear. Andrea is a pleasure to deal with, and I’m delighted to support a young mother who is following her dream. Here’s her contact information: http://www.andreawysocki.com/
Lovely store. Thanks for sharing!
I’m sorry to report that Andrea is no longer making jewelry — I believe she closed her shop in 2018 or ’19. I’m saddened that her beautiful earrings are no longer available, but I wish her well in whatever the future holds for her.
I get my statement jewelry from a place called BOLD by Kattour. Everything is handmade and unique! Simply BEAUTIFUL!
Check it out, Sylvia!

I’ve bought extensively from Bauble Bar and a couple of pieces from Stella & Dot, which uses the direct seller model. I also like Erwin Pearl.
I recently did a jewelry shoot with a young model.
