Last week I showed you how I turned a simple black & white outfit into 3 different looks with jewelry from Boticca. Here is another way to wear the eyes perspex drop bib necklace by Jennifer Loiselle.
This time I combined it with a colorful outfit. You have seen the orange Alldressedup top before, but the skirt is a new acquisition. It was on sale at Vivienne Tam and I could not resist the arty graphical design. It’s made of 100% cotton so perfect for the hot Singapore weather.
I have actually found this necklace to be very versatile. It has travelled with me to The Netherlands and I have worn it with a cream top as well. These photos were taken at Singapore’s boat Quay by the fabulous Anja on a windy day (hence the messy hair!)
What do you think. Do you prefer this necklace on a neutral (white) base or prefer it with color?

Where did you get your sunglasses from Sylvia?
I’ve noticed that they always co ordinate with your outfits and really finish off the look.
These ones are from Furla but they are already a couple years old
Love the sandals. Would like a pair myself but with slightly smaller heel. I also like the skirt and top, both suit you very well. Very flattering.
Thanks Brigitte. Yes, they were an excellent buy from Ecco. Both stylish AND comfortable.
Sylvia, what a fabulous outfit – and backdrop! Loving the colours on you, and the necklace is perfect for that graphical outfit 🙂
Love both the top and skirt….not so much the necklace….seems a bit heavy for tropical Singapore….orange has become one of my favorite accent colors…
I really like this look! I think I just like to see color on color. I do think it adds additional interest when you have a solid top. I love the coral color in your outfit. Nice!
LOVE this outfit. Especially that skirt.
bisous
Suzanne
Thanks Suzanne!
I really like this outfit, Sylvia! I think everything is just perfect here, but I in general am in favor of complexity and layers. I love the necklace with this pretty color, but it looks as gorgeous on your white blouse. The skirt is so very you, but then the whole outfit is really you, I think. 🙂 Very inspiring look!
Thanks Natalia. To me this outfit is just the right balance in terms of simplicity and complexity and as you say it’s very me!
I can’t choose – it looks great both ways. It has wonderful style! Love that graphic skirt, too.
Thanks Patti!
I like the necklace on everything. In this outfit it connects the pattern of the skirt with the top. Great skirt by the way. And the shoes look comfortable, yet high heeled and modern.
I hesitate over the knot element in the top. As Ann pointed out. I see what she means, but I am not sure whether I mind it that much. Although I do like the first photo best which shows the least of the knot in the top. Hmmm…..
The top picture IS the best but not necessarily because of the (invisible) knot…
I agree, you have fantastic legs, Sylvia!
Coral and salmon red are very flattering colours, I love them. Your look is a perfectly matching ensemble – including the statement necklace.

Thanks Annette!
The skirt and top are fabulous together, but I think the necklace is too much with the full rucked top. The colour of the top is lovely on you and the skirt is modern, stylish and a just the right length.
Thanks Aileen. Yes, the necklace probably suits a plainer top better, but I thought it was still ok.
Love The Skirt. I Prefer The Bib With Colour I Think.
Thanks Pauline!
Great purchase – this skirt looks tailored made for you. I think this necklace is pretty neutral that you can wear it with any color.

Thanks Alice!
The first thing I noticed – you have GREAT legs! All that running around on the tennis court has paid off. 🙂
I love this outfit. It looks like it came right off a runway. Red (orange) is your color. And the skirt is so “you”. I do not like things to get too complicated or cluttered but this strikes just the right balance. It is a simple outfit (top and skirt) made special by color and pattern and the perfect accessories. Not too much – not too little. One of your best!

Ah thanks Suzanne. One of nature’s gifts. I’m happy you like the outfit too!
I love the skirt and the sandals are great. I like the necklace with both color or white. I do think the design of this top might be a bit complicated with the knotting intersecting this fabulous necklace. Well that’s my two cents! It will be interesting to hear what everyone else says.
blue hue wonderland
Thanks Ann. You are right that there is quite a lot happening at the top and I usually keep jewelry minimal with my my draped top but I thought this still worked. What I DO need to do is to keep the knot of the necklace at the back!
