Can you tell us a little bit more about yourself?
I’m a Christian, a wife, a nurse of 25 years, a mother of three and a grandmother of two. I started my YouTube channel exactly 2 years ago while working as a nurse in Saudi Arabia. I just moved back to the U.S. in August (to Dallas Texas) after living in Saudi Arabia for five and a half years.

As a point of reference which age group do you belong to or perhaps you are willing to share your age?
I’m 51 years young.
Can you tell us a bit more about your YoutUBE channel and why you created it?
I love creating fashion and lifestyle content for women over 40 on YouTube. I saw a lack in the available content for my age group and decided I’d fill it with as much amazing content as possible. I believe women can look and feel their best regardless of their age, and one of the quickest ways to do that is through fashion.
How would you describe your own personal style?
Classy, eclectic, and vibrant!

What would you consider the most important components of your style?
Its flexibility.
I decide when I wake up in the morning what I’m going to wear based on how I feel. Some days I’m in all neutrals and other days my outfits are very vibrant and fun.

Where do you live and how does that influence your style?
I just relocated to Texas and I don’t feel it will have much of an impact on my personal style.

Do you feel you have a signature style?
No, I don’t think so.
What inspires your outfit choices the most?
How I’m feeling and what my schedule is for the day.

Do you take things like color profiling or body type into account when you dress?
I don’t. I know what colors look great on my skin tone and those are the ones I purchase, so my closet is filled with pieces that I love.
What is your current body type and height and what are your best tips for dressing for these?
I’m a 5’3.5″ inverted triangle so I love all things fit and flare. I also love wide leg trousers with fitted tops.
Do you have any favorite brands?
Mara Hoffman, Ulla Johnson, Farm Rio and Suzanne.

Has your style changed at all after turning 40?
It has a little. My skirts are longer and not quite as tight.
Do you believe in dressing ‘age appropriately’ and what does it mean to you?
I believe in women wearing whatever makes them feel great regardless of their age. Yes, a 70 year old woman in short shorts will get stares, but if she’s confident enough to wear them, I can appreciate her strength.

Would you say that at this stage of your life you are now more, or less interested in fashion, style and the way you look?
I’ve always loved fashion, but I follow the trends and research more now that I have my YouTube channel.
Why is the way you look important to you?
The way you dress speaks volumes. It impacts part of the impression the world will have of you.

What is your beauty routine and what are your favorite beauty products?
I believe great skin care and proper nutrients are a crucial foundation for healthy, glowing skin. I’m also a huge proponent of exercise to support beauty from the inside out.
Right now now my two favorite products are Black Girl Sunscreen and Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C face oil.

Do you follow trends? And if yes, which trends excite you at the moment?
Yes. I’m obsessed with the Victorian era puffed sleeves that have been trending for quite some time now. I’m also loving the introduction of atypical colors for Winter (such as violet and soft green).
What are your plans for your channel and how do you see it develop over the coming years?
Fortunately, my YouTube channel is consistently growing which is such a blessing. I’m currently working on ways to grow my Instagram page while simultaneously building the Angela Mashelle website.

Fabulous. beautiful woman. I love her in the purple coat but of course she looks great in everything.
What a stylish woman. I love all her outfits. As ahw is an inverted triangle like me, I am going to follow her for inspiration.

I love her look but it’s more classic than I’m interested in, I’m more of a natural/bohemian artsy. I’m surprised she’s petite Dr seems taller.
I am a huge fan of Angela Mashelle and I have been following probably since the beginning, because it’s definitely been about two years for me. I love her content, she brings great fashion and lifestyle ideas consistently, I have never not turned away from her channel. She continues to be my favorite!
Thank you for this interview! Love Angela’s styling with bright colours and playful prints. Such gorgeous looks.
