These are lovely Sylvia. The Natari looks to be full-length? That’s always a bonus, imo. I hope you’ll consider doing one on nightgowns to go with them!
One of the best Christmas gifts I ever received was a house robe ‘project’ by my husband and late mother-in-law (a retired seamstress, who was in pain from what we thought was her arthritis but turned out to be undiagnosed cancer). She passed away a few months afterward, so these are precious.
I always hated bathrobes that end mid-calf and leave my ankles exposed (winters here in Canada can be COLD). So my husband bought a number of robes for my MIL to alter: she trimmed the bottom off of half of them, turning them into knee length robes for spring/fall, and attached the trimmed off length to the bottoms of the remainder, making them full length! They used fuzzy housecoats so you could barely see the addition. They had so much fun planning this they got a little carried away. So I ended up with 6 or 7 housecoats that Christmas – including one hemmed at waist length for reading in bed (surprisingly useful!) The full length ones are such a delight when the weather is cold that I don’t want to take them off!
My MIL had so much fun doing this with my husband, and they laughed and laughed as I opened housecoat after housecoat! This was her last Christmas with us, and it’s a memory I’ll cherish as I wear her lovely, warm robes.
