For one week now New York has been the centre of the fashion world with many designers showing their new collections for spring and summer 2014 at New York Fashion week.

Almost just as exciting is the street style showcased in the New York streets. Let’s have a look at what some of the fabulous fashion 40+ women were wearing!

I love the outfit of the woman above who is having a lot of fun with fashion!

Sophisticated chic below, with both women using accessories to add an extra dimension to their looks.

Linda Fargo is keeping it simple with the on-trend wider top with large sleeves to make a statement.

2 very different outfits with the left one being casual understated chic and at the right a daring combination with black leather.

Although I can’t be quite sure that these ladies are indeed 40+, I love both these looks which would look fabulous on many women over 40.

Exuding confidence in this tomboy chic look!

Not quite sure if this is the famous Lynn Dell, but she sure stands out in this wonderful polkadot suit.

Understated elegance with neutral color blocking outfits. I have seen a very similar blue skirt at Zara. The fabric is quite thick, so it is unsuitable for Singapore, but I would highly recommend this skirt to anyone looking for a very on-trend a-line skirt that comfortably covers the knees.

A special thank you to Denton Taylor who took all these fabulous images in the streets of New York. Be sure to check out his photography website.

Which is your favorite streetstyle outfit from the above?
