Easter often heralds the start of spring. So, it’s the perfect time to embrace cheerful colors and lighter layers. These Easter outfits below will work, no matter what you have planned for the upcoming holiday weekend.
Depending on where you are, you may not be able to dine in a restaurant, or perhaps you are restricted about meeting with family and friends.
In this article, you will find both casual and dressier Easter outfits, so you should find inspiration whether you are taking part in an Easter egg hunt with your family, you’re heading for a quick weekend break, or you’re going for brunch with loved ones and friends, or you want to dress up or dress down at home.
I’d love to hear about your Easter plans and what you will be wearing. You can let me know in the comments at the bottom of the article.
How to choose Easter outfits to suit the occasion
Of course, there are so many different ways you could be spending the Easter holiday. Here are just a few things you might want to think about when putting together your outfits:
Indoors, outdoors or both?
Often Easter outfits need to do double duty. You might, for example, be outside hunting for Easter eggs before heading in for a more formal brunch. So, you need to make sure you are both comfortable AND stylish, and that your outfit features layers to deal with different temperatures.
Oxana (above) looks comfy and stylish. Her houndstooth jacket adds warmth and a touch of formality to her jeans.
Adding some color
Most of you will be heading into spring. So, it’s the ideal time to think about choosing some sunny colors or some pretty pastels as part of your Easter outfit.
Laura (above) opts for a soft green and teams with neutrals.
Are you going on a short break?
As it’s a long weekend, it could provide the opportunity to take a short vacation, or at least a staycation. If you’re lucky enough to be able to head for a little break, putting together a little capsule wardrobe will ensure all of your clothes go with each other while you’re away.
If you can’t go anywhere at the moment, it could still be a great opportunity to put together a capsule for the upcoming spring season.

A dress could be perfect for church or a family occasion
If you have a more formal event to attend, a dress could be perfect. Choose one in a paler shade to reflect the spring season or opt for a striking graphic print.
Below, you will find a capsule wardrobe for Easter, which you can either use for inspiration if you are going on vacation. Or, you can simply choose your favorite outfit to suit the occasion.

Tops for Easter
Now, let’s move onto my Easter capsule, starting with tops…
Jona (above) has added a touch of sunshine with her yellow top, white pants and shoes.
I’ve chosen a vibrant purple, inspired by the colors on trend for spring and summer 2021, along with classic neutrals and stripes.
Jackets and coats for Easter
It’s usually not warm enough at Easter to go without a jacket.
If you have coats and jackets in darker shades, you can team them with florals, prints or paler colors to give your outfit a more spring-like feel.
Dahlia (above) chooses a tan jacket that perfectly matches her heeled sandals.
I’ve included a moto (below) as I thought many of you might already have one, along with a blazer you can wear to add a touch of elegance to your outfits.
Plus, as March and April are often known for rain, I couldn’t resist the waterproof jacket (below). Statement trench coats are also particularly on trend.
Pants and jeans for Easter
It’s hard to go wrong with a well-fitting pair of jeans. Plus, if Easter is a more casual affair this year than usual, you might want to add a pair of sweatpants or leggings to your Easter capsule.
Patricia (above) opts for a pair of bootcut jeans with her lace top.
Dresses and skirts
While I’ve been drawn to some pastel colors for this Easter capsule, I’ve also included a black dress (below) as I thought many of you would already have one in your closet.
Shonte (above) chooses a beautifully-fitting green button-down dress with snakeprint pumps.
Shoes for Easter
I’m including a choice of transitional booties that you can wear with your dresses here, as well as comfy sneakers in case you are hunting for Easter eggs with your children or grandchildren (and need to make sure you get to the chocolate quickly), and a dressier style if you are heading out to lunch or dinner.
Ashley (above) looks stylish and comfy in her statement silver shoes.
Accessories for Easter
Accessories definitely add a stylish finishing touch to any outfit.
Kay (above) adds the perfect finishing touch to her outfit with a long necklace to tie in the colors in her sweater and pants.
