If I had a mom-on-the-go uniform, then this would be it: comfortable stretchy pants (I have them in several shapes and lengths) and an airy interesting top.
I was attracted to this particular one because of its unique design and because I always have a weakness for this old pink color.
Of course you could easily translate this to a winter version. They would be similar pants in a winter white color and an interesting top like this asymmetrical one (on sale) and some booties. I will show it to you soon as I showcase another outfit from my winter capsule wardrobe.
This has proven to be such a versatile top. It’s wide and airy so perfect for Singapore. I have worn it with my shorter white capris as well as skirts.
To make the outfit special and more interesting, all you need to do is add some interesting accessories like this printed bag I purchased in Santa Fe in the Us 1.5 years ago.
For more color to the face, colorful glasses are perfect.
Pointy white flat slingbacks make the look hip and current.
I love tops that are both pretty and interesting in the front AND back.
As usual my friend Anja was dressed in a colorful printed dress. It’s funny how we are always such opposites in style!
Outfit details:
Top: In Good Company
Pants: NYDJ (here is the Not Your Daugher’s Jeans at Nordstrom)
Shoes: Hoegl (similar on sale)
Bag: bought in Santa Fe, New Mexico a few years ago.
Do you have a uniform of sorts at the moment? What is it?

I love the top you’re wearing – I, too, like tops with something unexpected on the back! My go-to outfit is 3/4 leggings and a long flowy top/tunic – sometimes with a wedge heel but mostly I wear flat shoes. I do however like the sporty-luxe look so am thinking what I can do with that style, and whether it would suit my apple shape 🙂
You’ve definitely mastered the art of fashion. Your approach works beautifully. I like how pretty women’s tops can be from behind; that’s something menswear never has. And accessories open the door to infinite possibilities.
Thanks. Yes women’s wear certainly has a lot more variety!
Sorry forgot to mention Anja…. tsss. Looking breezy and colourful as always. Good necklace with this dress.
My go to uniform is jeans or skinny jeans with a large top.
As you know, I am usually somewhere in the middle between you and Anja (stylewise). Or perhaps leaning more towards you?
I think your top is really beautiful and you have styled it well with that cute bag and the white trousers and pointy toe flats (I have to change quite a number of ballerinas next for pointy toes next summer to stay “with it” haha).
But I am slightly afraid that colour is lacking if you put your glasses in your bag and hang your bag on your chair. Oh what the heck…. so you are wearing a subdued colour for a change. Fine. As we say in The Netherlands: moet kunnen. LOL
I think you’re a lot more like me Greetje! As for color, true. But I just put on a brighter lipstick. I still like my neutrals 🙂
Greetje your comment is so funny 🙂
The back of the blouse is beautiful. Also, it’s a great color, that soft rose pink. It flatters everyone because we have that color in our skin tone. Nice choice…you must be someplace warm. Here in Colorado, USA it’s 7 degrees today; Frigid!
Thanks Marian. Yes it’s warm 24/7 here in Singapore!
