As I told you last week, I’m into leather at the moment.

For the first time ever, I bought a leather top!

I was attracted to the soft leather and the sleeveless design which would enable me to wear the top in Singapore. I wore it on its own but of course it would be a great layering piece too with a jacket.

The top has an unusual drapy collar which makes it unique and interesting but also a bit more challenging to wear. You definitely need to drape it correctly to get the right effect.

It’s also clear that I need my most uplifting and sturdiest bra to wear with this top (a different one than I wear in these pictures) as my bust becomes quite prominent with the shiny leather. This is something I’m not super comfortable with (I usually like to downplay my bust area) but it does make the look more sexy and edgy.

Another lovely detail is that you can choose to leave the back half open.

I paired the top with my white midi skirt from Zara. I like that the skirt makes this look more classic and it provides a great contrast to the edgier and more rock & roll leather. This makes the look appropriate for a 40+ woman like myself and gives it a classy vibe.

Leather top: Cigno Nero similar (but a lot more expensive…)
Skirt: Zara (old) similar
Shoes: Unisa (old) similar

Would you consider wearing a leather top?
