When I interviewed the incredible Sue Kreitzman (below) for my style interview series (stay tuned for Sue’s feature), she invited us to a showing of the Fabulous Fashionistas documentary in which she is one of the stars.
I reviewed the documentary here and also interviewed its creator Sue Bourne here.
As you can imagine, there was plenty of fabulous style to be seen and here are a few photos of some fabulous women photographed by Denton.
This woman looked beautiful in an asymmetrical dress combined with leggings.
This is Leslie Gelber who splits her time between California and New York. That seems like a great arrangement to me!
Hard to believe but these women are actually mother and daughter! Don’t they both just look amazing! Shelita (right) is a mixed media artist and can be found at the Organic Art Farm.
Stay tuned for more photos from the event from Suzanne and myself tomorrow!
Which is your favorite look from the above?

All these ladies look fabulous and are totally rocking their own personal styles. I love the close up photo of Shelita’s mum in her hat, head turned to the camera. She has such energy and pizzazz!
Hi Sylvia – thanks for sharing this. I just LOVE the look of the gorgeous lady with the asymmetrical tunic and matching leggings – man, she has it together 🙂
Thank you, Ladies! I am honored by your kind words. When it comes to style, I’ve always enjoyed a relaxed and flowing silhouette. I gained my love of linen from my mother. She almost wore white linen that day, but opted for the drama of tonal brown, instead. What a fabulous time we had in NYC!
The fashion challenge I contend with is finding the right balance of the relaxed fit that doesn’t add the appearance of extra pounds! I run an average of 25 miles a week. My friends say I should let my efforts show more in my fashion. Thank you, Sylvia for creating this wonderful platform. I am enjoying the dialogue.
Loved seeing these pictures and reading the post. In Australia, we suddenly have summer, so it’s great to get into the printed light-weight shift dresses etc.. Your snaps show how ladies of any age can look wonderful. You don’t have to be a 20 or 30-something “chickster” to look great.
Lovely post. I adore the Fashionistas. How wonderful you were invited to the showing of the documentary.
As for Shelita… love her outfit. So relaxed, yet so modern and fresh.
I love Shelita’s outfit best but they’re all excellent.
I have developed an affinity for wide legged trousers and flowy dresses. Mother- daughter are knocking both looks out of the park.
What a great ladies and cool looks!
Beautiful ladies! I thought they were friends! Just keep doing what you do to stay so young and vibrant looking.
I love NYC street style! What’s not to love – these women are fabulous. xo
Hard to pick a favorite but I found out that Leslie Gelber is an artist who makes most of her own clothes (can’t guarantee it for this outfit but it sure looks that way).
