Let’s get started with outfit 3
This outfit incorporates the pastel and flower trends and is a fabulous outfit for many occasions. Like before, feel free to substitute with jeans or pants in another color if white is not your cup-a-tea.
Here are the items for this outfit
(sheer) flower blouse
Flowers and pastels are right on trend this summer and they are easy to wear if you opt for a subtle print like the first blouse pictured. If you opt for a sheer blouse, you will get a lovely layered effect. Feel free to pick a blouse without print if flower prints are not your thing.
In order to wear your sheer blouse, you will need a camisole. Be sure to pick a color that you can wear with your sheer blouse and asymmetrical top.
- Stella Carakasi (in serene or another pastel color)
- Amazon (in a pastel color) – budget option
- Eileen Fisher (silk option)
White ankle pants
White pants are very versatile for summer as you can combine almost any top with them. I opted for ankle length slim fitting cotton pants. If white is not your thing, feel free to substitute for blue jeans. If going that route I would opt for bootleg jeans. You can see some of my favorite brands here.
- Slim Stretch Cotton Blend Ankle Pants (Regular & Petite)
- Two-Way Stretch Ankle Straight Leg Pants (Regular & Petite)
How I styled my outfit
Layering is a perfect way to add interest to an outfit or camouflage a belly. Choosing a sheer blouse with a cotton, silk or linen camisole underneath will keep you cool as well as provide coverage for your arms (if desired). This particular blouse is asymmetric too which helps with elongating and slimming you too!
The layering and print in itself already provides enough interest so you don’t really need a lot of accessories. I kept mine simple with shoes and bags that complemented the colors in the outfit.
