Here are some more outfits from my winter wardrobe. I already showed one outfit with my cream skinnies before.
The photos are not great as it is hard to find willing photographers or good locations to photograph. It was much too cold to photograph outside and I have developed a new admiration for those style bloggers that still continue to do so in freezing weather!
I can’t do it I’m afraid, so I had to settle for the indoors.
This was my fancy optional item from my shopping list. Even though it’s black I couldn’t resist having a bit of fun with this faux leather short dress that I wear as tunic.
I really liked it with my cream skinnies which turned out to be a favorite during my holidays. This has confirmed my belief that winter white is one of the greatest colors to wear in winter. It breaks up the sea of black and feels bright and fresh.
I also wore the faux leather dress with my houndstooth trousers. I love this combination of dressy trousers and a bit more edgy top. The cobalt blue provides the necessary color.
For a more simple and casual look I also enjoyed wearing the grey trousers with my cream cable knit jumper (not so clear on the pictures). My old cream jacket suited this look too for the outdoors.
As you can tell I wore my buckle ankle booties with everything. I loved wearing them!
Since I’m not used to the cold, I mainly stuck with pants this holiday. But I did take my grey skirt for an outing to a local museum where I had some great pictures taken by Greetje.
Stay tuned for that look as well as Greetje’s tomorrow!
Which winter clothes have you enjoyed wearing this winter?

I love winter white, but since I have a black haired dog (who continues to shed in our sub-zero winter weather) and messy kids I just assume it will get all dog haired and fingerprinted. It looks great on you, though!
I did not see this dress/tunic when you were over. Which is a good thing or I would have nicked it. Oh no that would have been useless as you are two sizes smaller than me haha. Love especially the first look with all that cream and the necklace.
And I just spent 3 hours of my Sunday in the freezing cold outside having my pictures taken for several outfits… Brrrr
Got to keep some surprises for you too…
I have a new admiration for you being able to cope with the cold without proper jackets for that long. I couldn’t do it! I now realise we have it easy here, even though we have the harsh light and the extreme heat (sweat, frizz) to contend with.
I like the tunic/dress – it is nice to have another texture in winter to go with all the woolly stuff. I also like winter white and agree that it is a fresh change from black. The two together look great.
PS If we sometimes seem reluctant to post pictures of our winter outfits then I hope you will remember the cold!
Yes I so agree. That is why I have wanted to add something leathery for a long time. No worries Lorraine. I will remember it for sure.
The leather dress is beautiful, and, from what I see, with great versatility.
Thanks! Yes, I also wore it with a long cardigan if I wanted to get even warmer (but the outfit above as shown already had 4 layers…)
Great dress and I think it looks fab with the white trousers.
Thanks! Then again, almost everything looks good with the winter white. It’s a must-have for winter (in my opinion)
The tunic is so attractive, love it with the white! White looks great with the coated jeans. I like coated jean so much more than leather pants, more wearable and no stretching. Really pretty necklace with the tunic. Last night the wind chill was around -20. I had to do pictures inside this week. It’s challenging this time of year for sure.
blue hue wonderland
Oh my. With that kind of temperature I would barely go outside!
So cute! I really like this faux-leather tunic, and may add one to my wardrobe – I could wear it for our brief three-month cool season here in Florida.
Thanks Patti. It’s a fun versatile item so I can recommend it!
