The New York Philharmonic opening ceremony was celebrated this week and Denton was there to capture the 40+Style on display.

Of course you will recognise Oprah Winfrey from the top picture.  If you recognise anyone else, let me know!

    The red stripe dress in 4, also love 5, 7, 8, the 2 women in 9 in traditional dress look so elegant and I love the photo of the woman in 6 taking photos.

    I love all of these, but mostly… that lady with the short blond hair (and green trim dress) seems to be having a VERY BAD DAY. hhahahhah. poor thing.

    This was a huge affair, it was to celebrate the re-naming of Avery Fisher Hall to David Geffen Hall in exchange for Mr. Geffen’s $100 million contribution which will pay for yet another renovation of the hall. I’m not a celeb shooter but in addition to Oprah and Mr. Geffen my wife and I saw Audra McDonald, Hugh Jackman, Barbara Walters, and a few others whom we recognized. I went for style not celebs but plenty of both on view. What do you think about Oprah’s dress btw?

      Hard to judge as I can’t see the whole dress, but I like the color and the way it fits her on top. Next time be sure to photograph Hugh Jackman; he is so adorable…..
