After the fabulous blogger meetup in Vancouver my husband and 13 year old son joined me to start our road trip across parts of Canada and the USA.
For the Canada part, the plan was to drive to Calgary via Roger’s pass and stop whenever we felt like it.
Driving this road is an attraction in itself as you encounter some spectacular views along the way.
This outfit from Stella Carakasi was a favorite while travelling. Super comfortable and sytlish at the same time! (top and leggings) The bag can be worn as a tote and as a backpack and is really practical.
We did not spot many bears along the way but did see this one along the side of the road. It then bravely proceeded to cross the highway!
While on our way to Calgary we made a slight detour towards Jasper and I’m so glad we did. There are various view points and tracks on the way there and they offer the most spectacular views. just have a look at how clear the water is and how perfect the reflection. The colors were precisely as pictured too and I did not edit these photos at all.
After a lot of driving it’s wonderful to relax in one of the hot springs!
Or go for a hike.
Our last stop in Canada was the city of Calgary where we walked around town for a day and caught the top ice hockey youth teams in a match!
Now let me take a selfie…
We had a wonderful time in Canada where the nature is truly spectacular. Next stop USA!
Have you visited British Columbia and Alberta in Canada? Which places did you most enjoy?

I took a trip to the Canadian Rockies last September. So beautiful! Your photos are wonderful. Lots of memories.
Your photos really capture the grandeur of the scenery. I’ll put that area on my travel bucket list. Thanks for sharing.
Omg I think Lake Louise is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The colours were spectacular. I loved every minute of our holiday.

The scenery is spectacular and your photos absolutely do it justice. If you do the trip again, take Hwy. 40 in AB. Spectacular scenery of a different sort and LOTS of wildlife. Hwy. 40 is only open in the summer.
So glad you and your family had a wonderful time in BC and AB.
Breathtaking beauty! Wonderful post, Sylvia. I haven’t been to this side of Canada yet, only visited Toronto, Ontario briefly years ago. It’s fun to learn that you have a son of my daughter’s age too. 🙂 xxx
Breathtaking photos, Sylvia. The beauty is stunning.
We’ve done that drive from Jasper to Banff many times and it never ceases to impress. Great photos!!
Glorious nature shots – I love the bear crossing the road. xo
So happy you liked it. I’ve yet to meet anyone that didn’t love Jasper or Banff. Did you make it to Lake Louise?
All of those places are in fact in Alberta : )
bisous

Oops! Thanks for pointing it out. Corrected it now!
My husband and visited BC a few years ago, we loved it, it snowed in Vancouver, would love to return to explore more of BC and the rest of the country. Your photos are great, the water is so clear.
Canadian Rockies have to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Hope to go back soon.
Fabulous pictures! I love Canada!
