Brand Focus: Emerson Fry - My favorites for fall! |

For many of you Fall is fast approaching so over the coming months, I will bring back my brand focus series and look at the new collections of some of my favorite brands. This week: Emerson Fry!

Emerson Fry is a small independent company based in the US. Their clothing is USA made in the US and guided by conscious design and focussed on enhancing self expression with minimal impact on our surroundings.

Their eclectic modernism appeals to me as the designs are timeless and durable, yet are modern and easy to integrate with other pieces in your wardrobe. Although generally not cheap, these clothes are made out of good materials, are not so trend-sensitive and will last you a long time.

Here are some of my favorites from their collection for fall.

Although I’m a big believer in owning at least one colorful coat to brighten up your winter days, you will probably also want a neutral one and I love this gray and white coat. Having one sleeve in white creates a lovely asymmetrical effect and makes the coat more interesting. I feel that gray and white is a timeless combination that will last for many years to come. Of course you can never go wrong with a camel version either which is eternally chic.

This white sweater is comfortable and super chic. I love how it is layered here over a longer asymmetrical top. You may also like to try one of the Eileen Fisher’s asymmetrical tops which will give you the additional sensation of silk to your skin. For more choices you can also visit my complete selection of asymmetrical tops and clothing here. You may also like to read this older article on how to wear asymmetric clothing and why I believe it’s so wonderful.

This brand is all about understated elegance and comfort and the tie up dress is a great example. Super comfortable to wear, yet versatile as you can wear it in different ways. Create an asymmetrical effect or wear the dress full length. this dress is easy to layer too and can be worn with leggings in winter to stay warm. My favorite pants from the collection is the fold pant in jet silk. This fits well within the sporty luxe trend that is still going strong and can be dressed up or down. Wear it with your white blouse and layer with a long vest or cardigan.

Below you can find some more pieces from their collection as well as some of their shoes.

Previously featured favorite brands in this series that you may like to check out include: Eileen Fisher, Trouve, Stella Carakasi, Getdressed2 and NYDJ.

Do you see anything you like from this brand?

I can see the quality of the brand but it is not my style. Too simple. I prefer Eileen Fisher which is also simple but just a bit more different.
I am ashamed to say that I have not worn my Eileen Fisher tops after I bought them in Vancouver. I know they are handy and lovely pieces but I cannot find a single piece to go with them. Blast.

So very you classy chic with and edge.
I dived into Throwback Thursday in the end and love it.
