6 things to be grateful for

In the spirit of Fashion & Beauty friend Friday and in anticipation of Thanksgiving I will list the 6 things I am most grateful for today. It’s a great habit to be thankful for something each day and appreciate what you have and I don’t do it nearly enough.

1. I’m very grateful for my health. First and foremost. Thanks to my health I am able to enjoy life to its full potential and make it whatever I want it to be.

2. I’m grateful for my family. I have a wonderful husband and the most amazing and sweetest son you can imagine.

3. I’m grateful for being able to do what I love.

4. I’m grateful for the wonderful house I live in and the quietness that allows me to work in peace.

5. I’m grateful for the opportunity to travel each year and discover new places. Above is a picture from my recent trip to Cebu in The Philippines.

6. I’m grateful for my friends. Both here in Singapore and around the world. But especially my new friends and readers that I have met over the last couple of months while working on this blog. Thank you so much to everyone who commented on this blog, linked to me, liked me on Facebook, followed me on Twitter or subscribed to my RSS or newsletter. It has been great getting to know you all.

Thank you and happy Thanksgiving!

What are the things that you are most grateful for?

As I write this it is 29F and is lightly snowing. Your picture makes me long for the beach. You look so cute!
You are Dutch but living in Singapore and I am impressed that you know about our American Thanksgiving. :) I have the menu planned and can not wait for my children to come home. The six things I am most grateful for are:
1) Health. Both my husband and daughter had struggles with their health this past year but are receiving excellent care and will both be fine.
2) My daughter and son are my dearest blessings. They are each thriving at university and are eager to make the world a better place.
3) My husband and I are entering a phase where we will soon be able to travel more, golf more, dance more, and will be able to enjoy what we have worked hard for.
4) I appreciate my neighborhood and my community. Small towns are wonderful places to raise a family.
5) “Sisters”. All the women who have made a difference in my life. They have always been there to cheer me on. They have seen me through some very deep sorrows and have celebrated my greatest joys. I would be lost without them.
6) Fashion. For being fun and for making me happy. And for bringing me friends, near and far, who share my interest in clothes and shoes and jewelry and makeup and hair styles. I have so much to be thankful for.

Thanks for sharing your list with us Suzanne. It looks like you have a lot to be thankful for as well!

Heather Fonseca

After years of not making a penny I’m most grateful that my freelance business is thriving and that I’m enjoying an income from creative work I adore that I do in my own home!

Thanks for reminding me about the annual Thanksgiving thank you! (It’s best to be prepared before one gets to the table!)

Well done to you Heather. It’s great to do what you love and be able to choose your own work location. I too have been very fortunate to do this.

Anne @ The Frump Factor

I’m grateful that I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some beautiful, tropical locations in my life. Otherwise, that photo would have me seething with envy! You look so great in that photo.

Thanks Anne!
