It’s exactly a year since the day that I started this blog as 40PlusStyle.com. Although I started out a few months earlier under a different name, I switched it to 40PlusStyle on 15 September 2011, a name I have been very happy with. I gave myself the task to write every week day with articles in the weekend being a bonus. Since then I have written 347 posts and this blog has received 408,149 visitors, 932,262 page views (not long before we reach 1,000,000!) and 5,485 approved comments! Thank you all so much for supporting, reading and contributing to this site! I hope the coming year will be even better, bigger and bolder with lots of you participating on the site or the forum.
To celebrate I’m planning a great giveaway in October, so stay tuned for that!
What else is new?
This week was all about the New York Fashion shows. I have been following all the recent collections and have been pinning my favorites on my spring / summer 2013 trends pinboard. Be sure to check out some latest additons from Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. Next week London!

Another great Dutch site is Young Designers United where young designers can showcase and sell their new creations.
I just discovered another blog (through The Citizen Rosebud) by a 40+ Dutch woman, called the Dutch lady of fashion. Some great style there.

Greetje is wondering whether her outfit with Cacharel top is too matchy matchy (I don’t think so) while Petite shows off her amazing new shoes.

I saw you pinned a few Marc by Marc Jacobs models. I just fell for all his models. What a fun way to play with scarves, don’t you think? Not sure it fits all women 40 and 40+. Not me for sure but I thought it was a very creative and inspirational line.

I am Sylvia, I am! I loved his collection so much that I decided to post about it. Not sure all these clothes are really appropriate for a woman 40+ . Nonetheless it’s inspirational (especially the way Marc Jacobs is using the scarf).
