Yes this is a very chic look. Note that these pants are very tapered. An absolute requirements for these kind of pants. And she is wearing heels which helps to. She has long legs and the silhouette is still firmly 2/3-1/3 also helped by the fact that she emphasizes her waist. So if the capris don't make your legs appear too short in reference to the rest of your body, then go for it. Tucking in the top may help with that as well.
Please note that if a great silhouette or figure flattery are not your priority, then you can always wear 7/8 pants.

I wear 7/8 a lot but nearly always with high heels. If I wear them a bit shorter (calf length), I make sure they are tight around my calf. So tapered or tight. It also depends on your legs. Which bits do you want to hide and which do you want to show?

We can all dream of putting together this look and the bank account necessary... The heels are so necessary with this !!!

That is an awesome look. Now I know what everyone means by 7/8 trousers...LOL! Lorraine, I found Sylvia's site the same way...search about how to wear cropped/capri trousers. Too funny! I had a couple of pair that were mid-calf and thought they looked OK but started noticing other women wearing them that length and thought they looked pretty dowdy. I now have one pair that hit just above the ankle bone (maybe a bit shorter than 7/8?) and they are a little more fitted than my old ones. I like them and wear them with cute embellished flats (simply more practical for what I wear them for).

Strictly speaking 7/8 trousers are trousers that have 7/8 of the length of normal trousers. Currently fashionable (and the best looking ones) are narrow tapered trousers like the ones pictured above.
