Such a great accessory, that yellow bag.

Here is my D&G suit, with bling bling.
First photos were taken with skin coloured hold ups and 1 brooch too many.
The next photos are with "barely black" hold ups and 1 brooch less.
I really only wear this to the office and with a black top underneath it to hide the wrinkles in my cleavage.

If people ask me "are they real?"(you know what the Dutch are like...: very direct),
I always answer, "try to guess what is real and what is not". They are usually wrong haha.

Looks gorgeous on you, Greetje! Professional,, feminine and flattering. Don't understand about the 'real' guess....they can choose between what and what?

Looking like a powerful, modern businesswoman Greetje! Very chic and the yellow bag makes it hip.
I think I slightly prefer your natural holdups to your darker ones, but they are both good.
As for the bling, I prefer less, rather than more. I think I would remove one more (one of the top ones), but it's really up to you.

Less bling would be the proper thing to do, but I like the joke of it. Gives the suit a wink.

I am still in love with this suit. and I always will I would wear the darker holdups And leave the bling out all together. If it was me I would choose a pearl necklace, perhaps old-fashioned but then you would be the Gem in this oufit.

Oh Marianne, you do have a way with words..... "then you would be the gem in this outfit". Haha. Pearls would make it too classic, but perhaps I should try somethng new. I will have to think about this.
There is a little problem. I lost the buckle of the suit at the dry cleaners or somewhere else. In order to hide this loss, I have pinned the long brooch in the middle to cover that up.

I had no idea what "hold ups" are but they must be your stockings. :) Both shades look nice. The suit is beautiful and fits you perfectly. You have a great figure and fabulous legs!
Brooches are the most "in" piece of jewelry right now and the more the better. So leave the long one where it is to close the jacket (it looks part of the suit) but cluster the other three together on one side. You might even be able to add one or two more. :) Try it and see if you like it. I saw it done at a local fashion show and it was stunning.
PS - I don't think the yellow bag goes with anything you own. You should probably box it up and send it to me. LOL!

My favorite Nordstrom stylist taught me all kinds of ways to wear brooches this season. The "clumping together" of many on a jacket or coat, adding one to a hat (this is a great way to update last year's model), pinning them onto the straps of shoes or a clutch. I am very excited about this as it is a nice way to add sparkle to a plain item. I can not wait to try this out for upcoming holiday parties! Such a clever idea.

If I recall this well, lots of brooches used to be the rage as well a couple of years (4??) ago.

I do not remember. I have not been a big fan in the past. I am an earring and ring girl. Now I like bracelets too. But brooches are fun and pretty and I have some from both my mother and grandmother so I am getting those out to try in different ways. Your black suit is the perfect outfit for this look. :)

It's never been a trend in my book as I don't own a single brooch! I guess I'm still a minimalist when it comes to accessories. One brooch would be enough for me personally. But it's certainly a great way to have fun with accessories so have fun with it Greetje!

Last Wednesday I got a present from my neighbour Anne, who lives a couple of doors own. She gave me the cameo brooch / pendant of her mother. "I never wear it and I know you can appreciate it", she said. Isn't that nice? Very hot too, cameos. And this is a lovely piece of work.

That is an amazing gift! What a thoughtful neighbor. Cameos are very in. I have a set (earrings and pendant) from my mother but am afraid to wear them as I do not want to lose them. Please post a picture when you wear yours.

I know, it is an amazing gift. I have more friends who just give me things that take my breath away, like Marianne and Anja. Yep, I am a lucky girl. And I will post a photo soon, wearing it. When I was visiting Seeker's blog I saw her with a beautiful cameo pendant on a ribbon. Thought that was a good idea. Or perhaps a leather string. To make it more modern.

Oh a velvet ribbon - that would be so pretty! And I need to have my earrings changed so I can wear them in my pierced ears. They would be safer that way. I really need to find a shop I can trust.
