Although I have been highlighting the fall 2011 trends that are hitting the shops currently, some of you may know that at this moment the latest trends for spring 2012 are shown at New York Fashion week. Exciting!

Since I’m forever living in the summer here in Singapore, it’s great to know what the new trends for spring 2012 will be! It saves you from spending too much money on trends that you will know will be gone in half a year. On the other hand you may be able to snap up some great bargains from past collections if you know that that particular style will still be current next season.

You will be happy to know (at least I am) that the colors and graphics are here to stay, although other labels like The Row and Rebecca Taylor are far more subdued with lots of whites and light greys. Above and below are some great examples of colored and graphical dresses I’m loving so far.

Colorful dresses from BCBG Max Azria spring 2012 collection

Dresses are still very popular and the graphical trend that we have seen this fall is also still very current.

I loved the collection of BCBG Max Azria. Flowy dresses with graphics and colours at wonderful lengths for us over 40 women! Sofar it seems that dresses are far more flowy and less tight than the fall 2011 collection.

What do you think of the collections sofar?
