Trouve clothing for women | 40plusstyle.com

I like to introduce a new feature at 40+Style: brand focus. Mainly, I will feature brands in this feature that offer great clothing options for women over 40. This week Trouvé.

I noticed that clothing from Trouvé has been popular among my audience and their newest collection as seen on Nordstrom features so many great options. You could create your spring capsule wardrobe from this brand alone! The brand is very affordable and offers modern yet not-too-fashion-sensitive clothing that will especially appeal to those with an Euro-chic aesthetic.

Here are a few examples of items that I love and how you could wear them. Please don’t be distracted by the young, slim models. It’s the only way I can present these clothes to you as these are the images available online. Sizes go until US extra large and many of these items will look great on 40+ women.

trouvewrapfrontskirt

I just love this wrap skirt. It’s so comfortable to wear and especially great for hourglass and rectangle body types. The vertical lines will be extra slimming and the split below is sexy yet low enough to be comfortable. Wear it with the blazer, the open front zipped pocket blazer or the short white bomber jacket. It will look altra hip with open booties as the model is wearing and they don’t have to be this high.

trouveopenfrontzippedpocketblazer

The open front zipped pocket blazer looks modern and will be easy to wear with both skirts and pants. I like the addition of the zipper and the relaxed feel of this jacket. It’s available in four colors including red, white and black.

trouveelasticcuffpleatedpants

These elastic cuff pleated pants look both comfortable and hip. Perfect with the jackets featured in this article!

trouveoversizemotojacket

The oversized moto jacket is another favorite. Very hip with straight skirts like the wrap skirt, slim fitted jeans and the relaxed pants.

For tops the silk blouse is super chic and affordable and easy to combine with the jackets or wear on its own. Another good option is the easy V-neck tshirt.

The ultimate show piece in your capsule is the ultimate long line zip vest. Great for creating a long lean line by wearing a column of color underneath or to create a graphical effect as shown in the picture.

We will start focussing more on dressing for spring from next week, when I will also be sharing my spring trends report!

What do you like about this collection?

That white moto is fab!

I like the look – basic, fashionable and flattering, at an affordable price. Also appreciate availability. “Brand focus” feature is a great idea! Thanks.

Lots of very interesting pieces, Sylvia! Unfortunately it only seems to be available via Nordstrom which unfortunately involves high postage and taxes on European orders…

But Nordstrom does free shipping and returns in the US, and has brick and mortar stores where one can try things on before purchasing. I guess Sylvia can’t make everybody happy!

This is a great feature, I love finding out about brands with which I am not familiar.

Love that white moto jacket by Trouvé but don’t want to order from abroad. Alas, that brand is not in The Netherlands. Some lovely ideas in this post.

I love the blue jacket with zippers. Very simple and elegant. The long vest is beautiful!

Thanks for this article Sylvia, it is helping define the Euro Chic style I am aiming for.

Just picked up the moto jacket today at Nordstrom. I love it, and it will be a great staple piece for Spring. I’m 54 and curvy. I tried on the L, but ended up sizing up as it felt a bit snug when zipped. It’s such a flattering jacket, and really pretty. Thanks for the heads up about this brand!

How fabulous Wendy!
