Booties

Booties are HOT this season. It’s the shoe to own. They are hip, comfortable and stylish. Here are some of my favorites currently in stores.

I have also included booties from comfortable shoe brands like Born, Ecco and Think, that provide extra comfort and arch support as well.

I am really hankering after some open toed ankle boots. Am I too old? I am thinking that they will put less pressure on my bad toe joint and give a flash on nail varnish! However, I am worried that my feet will get cold – do they do toeless socks?

I love open toed booties! No you’re not too old. You can wear any shoe you like. Yes, the cold may be an issue and I’m not sure if there are any toeless socks. You could consider wearing them with (knee)tights. Just make sure that no visible seams can be seen.

That’s great to hear! I have found some (Dune) but I can’t do more than a two/two and a half inch heel and they are all higher. Good idea with the pop socks.

Sylvia,
I love your combinations!! I love the silver booties. I am truly a fan who appreciate your valuable advise, all the effort, and noted hard work which you put into your site.
I simply wish it went that one step further so I can seek your expertise on a regular basis and know attaining your style advise into reality is just one step (click) away.
I notice there are no links for me to find the clothes/shoes that I would like to purchase. There is another site I frequent that also offers great fashion advice for women who want to stay “trendy” however do not want to appear as if they raided their daughter closet in efforts to appear “hip.” At the bottom of the “outfit” is a running band where the individual pieces stream. If you place your cursor over the piece, the brand and purchase price appear. If you decide to purchase all you need do is click and wella!
I noticed as the site become more and more popular the site creator has a contributing stylist editor from a well known online “shop” who also puts outfits together and you simply go to polyvore to purchase.
Thank you, and if there is a place on your site that offers the links – please let me know where and how I find it.

Hi Tammy. Great to see you like my site. I usually feature links to clothes I wear with the articles. However, since fashion items sell out quickly links for older articles will not work or have been removed. You can find all the newer articles on the homepage.
