Irregular choice

I believe that style and fashion should not always be so serious. I admit that I don’t add fun elements in my own clothing nearly enough, but I always like it in others and I certainly enjoy seeing fun items in the store.

Here are some shoes and accessories I stumbled across while visiting Robinson’s at Marina Bay Link mall in Singapore. First up are these very funky shoes from Irregular Choice. What I wore JNBY dress to business lecture Global Google Girl

I’m a member of a business women’s organization here in Singapore and recently they organised a business lecture called Global Google Girl. The speaker was Aliza Knox, Managing Director, Online Sales Group – Japan and Asia Pacific, Google.

So what to wear? I could have gone for a strictly business attire (pants and a shirt will always do for that) but instead I opted for something more fun. Inspired by all the tight fitting dresses of the fall 2011 collection, i opted for what comes closest in my wardrobe: this blue a-symetrical dress by JNBY.  [click to continue…]

DKNY and Carolina Herrera 2012 Spring Collection

New York Fashion week is still in full swing, so I thought to highlight some more of my favorite new designs that are suitable for women over 40.

DKNY started off her show with some lovely navy suits that would look great on many 40+ women, although you’d need pretty good legs to pull of the pants.

I loved Carolina Herrera’s collection which featured a lot of graphical dresses and patterns. The colour palette was great too and featured black and whites, red, yellow and green. [click to continue…]
